Sound Transit's SeaTac/Airport Station will be just a four-minute walk to the Main Terminal.

Sound Transit and the Port of Seattle are bringing Link light rail to Sea-Tac Airport. The combined construction efforts includes the Port's roadway improvement and construction projects and Sound Transit's Airport Link project. Construction begins late this summer. The connection between downtown Seattle and Sea-Tac Airport will be completed by the end of 2009, offering a speedy and convenient way for both travelers and employees to get to and from the Airport.

Here's what's coming:

  • A 1.7 mile extension of Sound Transit's light rail initial segment, now under construction in downtown Seattle, SODO, Beacon Hill, the Rainier Valley and Tukwila
  • A new SeaTac/Airport Station linked to the Airport Garage by a pedestrian bridge
  • Trains that run to and from Sea-Tac every 6-10 minutes
  • A 33-minute ride between Sea-Tac and downtown Seattle
