2008 Annual Community Meeting
June 5, 2008, marked the first public tour of the Third Runway. The big yellow X is at the north end of the 8500' runway and marks it as closed from the air. The new runway is scheduled to open in November.

Port of Seattle Committed to Preserving BNSF Eastern Rail Corridor for Public Benefit: Port of Seattle Commission President John Creighton and CEO Tay Yashitani sent a letter to the Cascade Bicycle Club on April 25 in response to the CBC's April 23 statement concerning the Port's acquisition of the BNSF Eastside rail corridor.
