How to Apply

In order to apply for any of our current openings, please choose one of the below options to submit your application, cover letter, and resume.

If you are applying for an internship, please e-mail your supplemental application materials such as your transcript and list of learning objectives to Victoria Campbell. You must submit a separate list of learning objectives for each internship you apply for. Upload your application and all other materials online."

Application Considerations

  • Applications will be evaluated for open positions only.
  • Individuals wishing to be considered for the stated positions must submit applications by the advertised closing date and time.
  • Applicants must complete a Port of Seattle application.
  • Postmarks will not be accepted.
  • Applicants are required to complete a separate application for each position for which they apply.
  • Applications may be supplemented with a resumé and cover letter.
  • Applicants must state the job title and requisition number for each position.
  • The Port reserves its option to use random sampling for high-volume positions.
  • Consideration may be given to a combination of equivalent education and experience in evaluating the stated requirements.
  • Interviews are by invitation only, and are scheduled by the Human Resources and Development Department.
  • In compliance with the Immigration Reform Act, all employment offers will be contingent upon selected applicants providing acceptable proof of identity and authorization to work in the United States.
  • Some positions will require security clearance, and job offers will be contingent upon the ability to pass the applicable security background checks.
  • The Port of Seattle will provide reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities.
  • Applicants for positions requiring a Commercial Driver's License will be required to participate in the Port of Seattle Drug and Alcohol Program as required by the Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration.
